Porta Communications chairman tops up again

Having paid 6.75p a share at the end of May, Morton made an even larger investment this time at 7p a share.

Shares in marketing and communications boost Porta Communications (LON:PTCM) received a lift early doors after chairman Bob Morton upped his stake.

The non-executive director purchased 6.3mln shares at 7p a pop, costing him a cool 441,000 and raising his stake to 42.59mln shares, or 15.36% of the issued ordinary share capital of Porta.

Morton had previously added to his shareholding at the end of May, when he bought 2mln shares at 6.75p a share, following a bullish set of full-year results announced on 28 May.

Shares in Porta were up 12% at 7.99p in mid-morning trading.
