Green360 Technologies Limited (ASX:GT3) earlier this week announced the successful commercial-scale production of its first low-carbon concrete noise panel wall. The development marks a key milestone in the company’s commercialisation journey and was completed through its joint venture with PERMAcast. Executive Chairman Aaron Banks said the strength result opens up further potential. He noted that while the company initially targeted non-structural applications, “we can now start targeting structure without too much trouble at all.”
Highlights
- Green360 Technologies has produced its first low-carbon concrete noise panel wall, replacing 35% of Portland cement with industrial byproducts.
- The product was manufactured at scale in partnership with PERMAcast, following successful lab trials.
- Over 9,000 data points and 200 tests were gathered to validate the product’s performance.
- The panel achieved 64 MPa strength after 28 days, outperforming the industry target of 40 MPa.
- Green360 plans to showcase the product via a dedicated showroom at PERMAcast.
- Interest has been received from major civil contractors and government bodies.
- The company is now progressing toward third-party life cycle analysis and environmental product disclosureforms.
- These assessments are critical for formal carbon profiling and for accessing green investment funds and ESG-aligned institutions.
Tech breakthrough
Green360's panel replaces 35% of traditional Portland cement with an industrial byproduct. The finished product achieved a class one surface quality and outperformed performance benchmarks.
The company told investors that the panel reached a strength of 64 megapascals (MPa) after 28 days of curing — significantly above the 40 MPa industry target. This result followed more than a year of testing and over 200 laboratory trials, generating approximately 9,000 points of performance data.
It also highlighted that the panel is intended for use in major civil infrastructure projects, such as noise barriers lining freeways. Banks said the company is now manufacturing additional panels and preparing a showroom at PERMAcast to display its product range.
Site visits underway
Site visits from large contractors and government departments are already underway. Green360 Technologies said it is now pursuing third-party life cycle analysis and environmental product disclosures. These steps are required to quantify the product’s emissions profile and enable qualification for environmentally conscious procurement.
According to the company, these assessments are also central to attracting investment from sustainability-focused institutions and green funds. “Once you've got your life cycle analysis and environmental product disclosure forms, that's the mechanism those growing funds use to start investing in you,” Banks said.
Green360 Technologies said it views these disclosures as a pathway to expanding its investor base and aligning with ESG capital mandates.
