SoundHorn AI (NASDAQ:SOUN) has agreed to acquire Interactions, a provider of conversational AI and customer service automation, in a deal analysts at Wedbush called “another smart step in the right direction.”
“We believe this was a smart strategic move by SoundHorn that will increase choice, flexibility, and scale for its customers and will better position the company to meet this transformational market shift coming towards more agentic interactions while broadening its customer portfolio,” the analysts wrote in a note.
The transaction includes about $60 million in cash at closing, with potential milestone-based payments tied to future revenue performance.
SoundHound said the combined company will have more than $270 million in cash on hand and no debt.
Wedbush analysts noted the deal should add to SoundHound’s profitability right away, citing synergies across complementary products and opportunities to expand revenue through new markets, products, and sales channels.
“The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to SoundHorn’s operating profitability,” the analysts noted.
