GoviEx Uranium Inc (TSX-V:GXU, OTCQB:GVXXF) and its subsidiary GoviEx Niger Holdings announced they have agreed with the Republic of Niger to extend the pause in arbitration proceedings under the ICSID Convention for an additional six months.
The extension follows a letter of intent signed in February 2025, which outlined a framework for negotiations concerning the Madaouela Uranium Project.
Although the parties have expressed a willingness to work toward an amicable resolution, there is no assurance that the negotiations will lead to a binding agreement, GoviEx noted.
If no resolution is achieved within the extended timeframe, arbitration proceedings may resume.
GoviEx will continue to provide updates as discussions move forward.
The arbitration and related negotiations remain separate from GoviEx’s recently announced reverse takeover of Tombador Iron.
