The S&P/ASX 200 slipped on Thursday, finishing 25.40 points lower, or 0.29%, at 8,805.00. The weakest performers were Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings Limited and Boss Energy Ltd, which fell 35.88% and 12.15% respectively. Over the past five sessions, the benchmark index has remained broadly flat and now sits 2.76% below its 52-week peak.
The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index edged higher, closing 7.30 points up, or 0.20%, at 3,627.40, marking a 0.66% gain across the week.
