Vaultz Capital PLC (AQSE:V3TC) has formally appointed its chief executive, Eric Benz, to the company’s board.
Benz, who took on the role of chief executive earlier this summer, has been active in the sector for more than a decade.
He was an early investor in Blockchain Capital, the first venture fund to accept Bitcoin, and helped to build GoCoin in 2013, which allowed companies around the world to accept crypto payments.
At the time, this was one of the earliest attempts to bring digital money into mainstream business.
He went on to help launch Bitreserve, now known as Uphold, a trading platform that links cryptocurrencies with traditional currencies and commodities such as gold.
Later, as head of Changelly, he ran one of the first “swap” exchanges, where users could quickly trade one digital asset for another without going through a centralised broker.
