Ora Banda Mining (ASX:OBM) has struck some of its best gold hits yet at its Sand King Underground deposit in WA.
A step-out hole drilled 300 metres north of the current life-of-mine plan hit 14.3 metres at 5.3 grams per tonne from 502 metres. A wedge hole off the same parent delivered 18.7 metres at 8.9 grams, including 8.7 metres at 8.7 grams and 8.8 metres at 10.4 grams per tonne.
That intercept sits 70 metres above the first hit, pointing to a potentially extensive new high-grade zone. Mineralisation is still open in all directions and follow-up drilling is already lined up.
Managing director Luke Creagh said: "These remarkable hits from step-out drilling, coupled with consistent resource infill drilling intercepts, show that Sand King Underground is bigger than we first thought and that the tenor of the mineralisation is potentially higher than initially expected.”
