Green360 Technologies (ASX:GT3) has hit another key milestone on its road to commercialisation, and has now produced its first low-carbon concrete noise panel wall - a product aimed squarely at cutting emissions from large-scale civil infrastructure projects, and replaces 35 per cent of traditional Portland cement with an industrial by-product.
After more than a year of testing, it outperformed expectations - it targeted a strength of 40 megapascals, but delivered 64 megapascals after 28 days, which allows for rapid demoulding and commercial-scale production.
Major civil contractors have already visited the site, and the next step is third-party life cycle analysis and an Environmental Product Disclosure to certify the panel’s emissions profile — a key benchmark for regulators and green funds looking at sustainable infrastructure materials.
The company's Executive Chairman Aaron Banks said: "Producing a low carbon noise panel wall at full scale proves our product is not just a laboratory success, but ready for real world infrastructure markets".
