Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC, ETR:INL) has announced further management changes as chief executive Lip-Bu Tan continues to reshape the company since taking charge in March.
Michelle Johnston Holthaus, who has spent more than 30 years at the group and most recently led Intel Products, will step down but remain as a strategic adviser.
A new central engineering unit has been created to drive a custom silicon business for external clients, headed by Srinivasan Iyengar, who joined from Cadence in July.
Intel also named Kevork Kechichian, formerly of Arm, to lead its data centre division, while Jim Johnson will oversee client computing.
Tan said the moves would tighten innovation and execution, adding that Intel was “laser-focused” on delivering top-tier products.
