Lumos Diagnostics expands ANZ reach for FebriDx® with new YesGroup partnership

Lumos Diagnostics Holdings Ltd (ASX:LDX, OTC:LDXHF) has broadened its Australasian footprint for flagship test FebriDx®, signing a second distribution agreement covering Australia and New Zealand with YesGroup’s Amtech Medical Ltd. The rapid point-of-care test, which delivers results in around 10 minutes, helps clinicians distinguish between viral and bacterial respiratory infections, supporting more informed prescribing decisions.

The partnership builds on Lumos’ existing arrangement with Henry Schein Inc (NASDAQ:HSIC)’s Regional Health Care Group Pty Ltd, giving the company dual-channel access to the region’s healthcare market at a time of growing attention on diagnostic tools that can reduce unnecessary antibiotic use.

YesGroup joins distribution network

YesGroup — which unites Australian brand Yes Medical and New Zealand’s Amtech Medical — supplies more than 25,000 product lines across both markets and employs more than 150 people. The group has positioned the FebriDx® agreement as part of its mission to equip frontline clinicians with evidence-based solutions that improve patient outcomes.

“YesGroup are proud to partner with Lumos Diagnostics to bring FebriDx® to more clinicians across Australia and New Zealand,” said Craig Anderson, CEO of YesGroup.

“With FebriDx®, clinicians gain access to a rapid, reliable tool that supports smarter prescribing decisions and helps reduce the impact of antimicrobial resistance in our communities,” he added. “This partnership is an important step in strengthening frontline care and continuing our commitment to deliver trusted products to healthcare providers throughout the region.”

Building local and global momentum

Lumos chief executive Doug Ward said the new agreement adds depth to the company’s distribution base in its home market.

“We are delighted to expand FebriDx® distribution in Australia and New Zealand through this new partnership with YesGroup,” Ward said. “With their reach and long-standing presence in the local healthcare market, alongside our existing agreement with Henry Schein, we are well positioned to make FebriDx® more widely accessible to clinicians.”

The YesGroup deal follows a series of distribution expansions for FebriDx® internationally. Over the past year, Henry Schein has extended its coverage in Europe and the US, while in Australia and New Zealand it began selling the test through Regional Health Care Group in 2024.

In addition, Lumos has recently linked up with market access consultancy PRO-spectus to support reimbursement strategy and provider adoption in the US. The partnership, running through December 2026, aims to boost acceptance among private insurance payors, which cover about 60% of the US population — building on the Medicare reimbursement FebriDx® already has in place.

Complementing regulatory progress

While today’s announcement focuses on the ANZ market, Lumos has also been pushing ahead in the US with regulatory and commercial initiatives. The company recently submitted its CLIA waiver application for FebriDx®, a step that would enable use in non-laboratory primary care settings, and signed a six-year US$317 million distribution deal with PHASE Scientific.

Combined with government-backed clinical studies and a growing roster of distribution partners, Lumos is working to position FebriDx® as a leading frontline diagnostic tool both domestically and abroad.
