Green360 Technologies Limited (ASX:GT3) has marked another milestone in its commercialisation pathway, successfully producing its first low-carbon concrete noise panel wall through its joint venture with PERMAcast.
The product, designed to cut emissions from large-scale civil infrastructure, comes after more than a year of rigorous testing and data collection at PERMAcast’s facilities.
Strong performance results
The panel incorporates a proprietary blend that replaces 35% of traditional Portland cement with an industrial by-product. The mix targeted a design strength of 40 megapascals (MPa) but exceeded expectations, delivering 64MPa after 28 days of curing.
The noise panel wall was manufactured using the JV’s proprietary low carbon cement formulation which replaced 35% of traditional Portland cement with an Industrial byproduct. This breakthrough represents a substantial reduction in embodied carbon compared to conventional concrete, while delivering the strength and durability required for major infrastructure projects.
Early testing also showed rapid strength development, reaching 15.5MPa within 24 hours — enabling the product to be demoulded quickly and demonstrating its suitability for commercial-scale production.
Noise panels are commonly used along freeways and highways to mitigate traffic noise near residential areas and can extend for more than 15 kilometres. Green360 said this made them an ideal high-volume early product for its low-carbon concrete range.
Industry engagement and certification
Several major civil contractors have visited the site to assess the new product, following earlier interest in the JV’s retaining wall blocks.

The next step will see the panel’s emissions profile independently certified through third-party life cycle analysis and an Environmental Product Disclosure (EPD). Certification will allow regulators, industry, and institutional investors to qualify and quantify the product’s carbon footprint.
Green360 noted that certification is also a key benchmark for green funds and institutions considering investment in sustainable infrastructure materials.
Proving real-world potential
Executive chairman Aaron Banks said the milestone demonstrated both the technology’s credibility and its readiness for deployment.
“Producing a low-carbon noise panel wall at full scale proves our product is not just a laboratory success, but ready for real-world infrastructure markets,” Banks said. “The JV with PERMAcast now positions us to accelerate commercial deployment of sustainable low carbon concrete products in Western Australia — the precursor to being able to ultimately manufacture our own low-carbon cement.”
PERMAcast CEO Darren Hedley called the results a “big step forward”, saying they demonstrate low-carbon concrete’s ability to meet industry demands while significantly reducing emissions.
“We’ve shown that low-carbon concrete isn’t just theory — it works at full scale,” he said. “It proves we can deliver the strength and durability projects need, while cutting the carbon footprint in a real and practical way.”
Driving low-carbon innovation in cement
Green360 Technologies is an Australian building materials company developing low-cost, low-carbon cement solutions aimed at replacing conventional Portland cement, one of the world’s highest-emitting industrial materials.
