Shares in Journeo PLC (AIM:JNEO) climbed to their highest level for more than two decades on Monday as the company said its recently acquired subsidiary, Crime and Fire Defence Systems, secured a £5 million framework contract with a UK utility company.
The four-year framework agreement is for CFDS to deliver high-security infrastructure protection services across multiple sites, safeguarding critical assets and ensure the continued resilience and integrity of operations.
Russ Singleton, CEO of the AIM-listed group, said: "We are delighted to have secured this important framework agreement which further strengthens CFDS's position as a trusted partner in the protection of the UK's critical infrastructure.
"Having recently acquired CFDS, this award provides strong early validation of the strategic rationale for the transaction and demonstrates the value of their specialist expertise in physical and cyber security."
He said the contract "reflects the confidence that major utilities place in the group's ability to deliver robust, innovative solutions".
The shares rose 7% to 495p, their highest since 2001.
