Resolution Minerals CEO of US operations Craig Lindsay talked with Proactive about the latest updates from the company’s phase one diamond core drilling program at the Horse Heaven Project in Idaho.
Lindsay reported that four holes have already been completed, totalling just under 1,000 metres of drilling. While assay results are still pending, early geological observations are encouraging. “The alteration, the low temperature, thermal mineralisation, that we're seeing in these holes... is very, very similar to the geology that we see over at the Perpetua mine next door,” Lindsay said, noting the nearby site hosts over 4.50 million ounces of gold.
Additionally, scheelite mineralisation—indicating the presence of tungsten—has been identified at the top of the first three holes. The presence of both gold and tungsten is noteworthy given the historic mining focus in the area was limited to shallow oxide gold, and prior drill campaigns had not assayed for tungsten.
Drilling progress is strong, with recent shifts achieving up to 240 feet. Lindsay confirmed that a second drill rig may be mobilised later in September, potentially doubling the current drilling output.
Lindsay also mentioned parallel exploration programs, including rock chip sampling at Golden Gate, soil sampling at Antimony Ridge, and a stream sediment sampling initiative. Assay results from these efforts are expected in the fall, which Lindsay described as an “exciting time” for the project.
