Shares in Victoria PLC (AIM:VCP) were little changed on Friday after the carpet and flooring maker reported trading in line with that reported at the time of July's results.
In a statement ahead of its annual shareholder meeting, the company said it "remains confident in the medium-term recovery of both volume and pricing across its end-markets".
Management was said to be focused "self-help" initiatives that are expected to help boost earnings by £70 million compared to the past year, as well as generating cash to deleverage and rebuild the company's credit rating.
A refinancing last month saw senior debt maturities pushed back, with executive chairman Geoff Wilding calling this "an important step following a challenging macro-environment over the previous two years, and provides the flexibility to drive significant operating improvements across the business to take full advantage of the next cycle as it emerges".
The shares were up 1.6% at 67.28p in early trading, down over 50% from highs seen at the start of the year, but still above the decade lows below 40p seen late last year.
