Williams confirmed that legal and technical due diligence has now been completed, marking a significant step towards financial close and execution of binding loan documents. The funds are earmarked for the acquisition and early-stage development of the Cloncurry Gold Project in northwest Queensland — a 447 square kilometre package featuring the Mt Freda and Golden Mile deposits.
He described the financing agreement as “transformative”, as it allows the AuKing team to begin focusing on development activities and prepare for an immediate transition post-close. The project benefits from JORC-compliant resources, nearby processing infrastructure, and drill-ready upside targets.
