Digi Power X expands digital asset holdings, advances AI infrastructure build out

Digi Power X Inc (NASDAQ:DGXX, TSX-V:DGX) reported that it increased its digital asset holdings during August and provided an update on its strategic shift toward artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, including construction at its Alabama site.

The energy infrastructure company increased its Bitcoin holdings 37% over the previous month to 85 Bitcoin, while Ethereum holdings nearly doubled to 1,000 Ethereum, valued at $4.4 million.

In August, miners at Digi Power X facilities produced about 24 Bitcoin worth $2.6 million, with total production and energy sales valued at $3.5 million. Year-to-date capital expenditures reached $5.5 million.

The company highlighted that it reduced its Bitcoin mining costs in August by participating in load curtailment programs, which also supported grid reliability during peak summer demand.

The company held approximately $29 million in cash, digital assets, and deposits at month-end, compared with $30 million in July.

In Alabama, Digi Power X has shifted away from Bitcoin mining and is building Tier 3-certified AI-ready facilities. The first ARMS 200 modular pod is expected to be installed in December 2025 and operational in early 2026.

The site is designed to provide 40 megawatts of critical capacity and 55 MW total, supporting more than 10,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs.

The company has filed a provisional patent for the ARMS 200 platform, placed a purchase order with Super Micro Computer for Nvidia-powered systems, and plans to launch its NeoCloud GPU-as-a-service platform in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Digi Power X continues mining operations at other sites, with next-generation hydro-powered systems scheduled for deployment in early 2026.

The company currently operates about 100 MW of capacity and plans to expand beyond 200 MW.
