The benchmark index is now 1.70% off its 52-week high and has declined 0.39% over the past five trading days. Bapcor Limited and Reece Limited were the worst performers in the session, down 4.58% and 4.39% respectively.
The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index (ASX: XSO) also ended in the red, dropping 12.90 points or 0.36% to 3,618.90. Despite the day’s loss, the Small Ords remain up 0.48% over the past week.
