Abingdon Health PLC (AIM:ABDX) shares jumped more than 14% higher on Monday, after it reported five contract development projects are underway at its Madison, Wisconsin facility.
It follows the opening of the facility in April.
The contract work covers pharmaceutical monitoring, veterinary diagnostics and infectious disease testing.
Abingdon said all projects are supported from its US and UK laboratories, extending its global CDMO offering. Phase two expansion has begun, with plans to install high-throughput manufacturing equipment mirroring its UK operation.
"These contract awards validate our decision to expand our CDMO operations into the USA and we anticipate further expansion in Madison, Wisconsin, as projects and products move through the development cycle," executive chair Dr Chris Hand said.
In London, Abingdon shares were up 14.3% changing hands at 6p, valuing the business at just over £12 million.
