The S&P/ASX 200 ended lower on Monday, slipping 45.40 points, or 0.51%, to close at 8,927.70. Among the weakest performers were Mesoblast Limited, down 7.80%, and Generation Development Group Limited, which fell 7.75%. Over the past five days, the benchmark index has shed 0.44% and now sits 1.40% below its 52-week peak.
Meanwhile, the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries (XSO) index gained 20.40 points, or 0.56%, to 3,631.80, advancing 1.95% across the last week.
