Fusion Antibodies boosted by latest contract win

Fusion Antibodies PLC (AIM:FAB) shares were on the front foot on Thursday, thanks to a new business win announced this morning.

The AIM-quoted firm said it has been awarded a new antibody humanisation project by a US-based division of a global pharmaceutical company.

The new contract is under an existing master service agreement with the client and is due to be completed within the current financial year.

“We are delighted to have been selected to humanise a family of antibodies for our client," chief executive Adrian Kinkaid said.

"It is particularly gratifying that a client of this magnitude and with all the resources available to it has selected Fusion to undertake this critical work”.

Kinkaid added: “Whilst revenues from the new Humanisation project will be relatively modest, winning this contract provides recognition of our expertise in this highly competitive market. We look forward building on the excellent relationship with our client”.

In London, Fusion Antibodies shares were up around 1.7% at 15p, and had traded up to 16.5p in earlier deals.
