Royal Bank of Canada (TSX:RY) shares moved higher after the bank reported strong earnings for the fiscal third quarter, including record net income.

Net income for the quarter was $5.4 billion, up 21% year-over-year.

Canada Goose Holdings Inc (NYSE:GOOS, TSX:GOOS)’s US-listed shares climbed more than 14% in late-morning trading on Wednesday after CNBC reported that the luxury apparel retailer’s controlling shareholder, Bain Capital, has received bids to take the company private, citing unnamed sources.

Bain Capital, a private equity firm, has been looking to sell its stake in Canada Goose, which it acquired in 2013 when the company was reportedly valued at $250 million.

American Eagle Outfitters Inc. (NYSE:AEO) shares added almost 5% on Wednesday after the clothing retailer launched its new back-to-school campaign featuring NFL star Travis Kelce.

The campaign promotes a limited-edition capsule collection from Kelce’s apparel and lifestyle brand, Tru Kolors, in collaboration with American Eagle.

MongoDB Inc (NASDAQ:MDB) shares surged more than 32% as the document database reported strong second quarter earnings and raised its full year revenue and profit guidance, driven by demand for its Atlas cloud database service.

For Q2, revenue grew 24% from the year-ago quarter to $591.4 million, ahead of estimates of $580.1 million.

Kohl's Corporation (NYSE:KSS) shares surged more than 23% in early Wednesday trading after the Wisconsin-based department store chain reported second quarter 2025 financial results that exceeded analyst estimates on the both the top and bottom lines.

The company saw its net sales for the quarter fall 5.1% year-over-year to $3.35 billion, but ahead of the LSEG analyst consensus forecast of $3.32 billion.

Sonoro Gold Corp (TSX-V:SGO, OTCQB:SMOFF) announced that it is increasing the size of its previously announced, non-brokered private placement in response to investor demand.

The exploration and project development firm said it will now issue 10 million company units, at an offering price of C$0.15 per unit, with the intention of raising gross proceeds of C$1.5 million.

Hochschild Mining PLC (LSE:HOC, OTCQX:HCHDF) shares fell almost 15% to a two-month low as the precious metals miner cut its guidance for the year due to work at its Mara Rosa mine in Brazil.

The FTSE 250-listed group reported a 33% increase in revenue to US$520 million for the six months ended 30 June 2025, with adjusted EBITDA up 27% at US$224.5 million, around 2% ahead of consensus expectations.
