C3 Metals Inc (TSX-V:CCCM, OTC:CARCF) announced it has hired Peru’s AK Drilling International SA to begin a minimum of 6,000 metres of diamond core drilling at its 100%-owned Khaleesi copper-gold project in Peru.
The mineral exploration company said mobilization of equipment and personnel to the drill site is scheduled to take place during the first half of September.
"We previously worked with AK Drilling on the resource delineation drilling at our Montana de Cobre skarn located approximately 8km from our Khaleesi project," C3 Metals CEO Dan Symons said in a statement.
“We are pleased to again collaborate with AK Drilling, as we know firsthand its attention to safety and environmental management and strong operational performance.”
C3 Metals noted that an initial 14-hole diamond drill program has been designed to test co-incident high tenor geochemical and geophysical anomalies.
It added that based on all data collected to date, the Khaleesi project is ranked highest priority for drill testing.
Several major and intermediate mining companies hold mineral concessions surrounding C3 Metals' package and in the district, according to the company.
Khaleesi has never been drill tested historically or by C3 Metals.
