Far East Gold Ltd's Shane Menere talked about new zones of high-grade gold mineralisation at the North Bermol prospect, part of the broader Idenburg Project. Geological mapping revealed sulphide-bearing quartz veins and boudins, with grab samples assaying up to 25.9 g/t gold and 7.8 g/t silver over a 15-metre outcrop. These findings lie 1.5 kilometres northwest of the company’s ongoing drilling at Bermol.
The company said, "Recent assays confirm the presence of a four-kilometre northeast-trending structural corridor." Mapping has identified northwest-trending veins at North Bermol, distinct from structures seen at Bermol, indicating new target areas for ongoing exploration.
Additional samples returned 6.75 g/t gold with 4.9 g/t silver and 0.16% copper from shear zones, as well as 5.26 g/t gold from intensely sheared zones containing sulphides and fuchsite mica.
Far East Gold is also advancing exploration at the Nova and Tekai prospects, where historical sampling returned up to 79.8 g/t gold in chip samples. Integration of current and historic data will be used to refine drill targets across the Idenburg tenement.
These discoveries suggest broader mineralisation potential across the corridor, reinforcing the scale of the Idenburg Project and highlighting additional growth opportunities.
