88 Energy Ltd (AIM:88E, ASX:88E, OTC:EEENF) has appointed Joanne Williams as non-executive chair, as Philip Byrne has retired effective 22 August.
Williams previously joined the board in August 2021. A petroleum engineer by trade, Williams brings more than 25 years’ experience to the role.

"Our focus is firmly on advancing our high-impact Alaskan oil assets, Project Phoenix, which is now a materially de-risked discovery ready for production testing, and Project Leonis, which represents a multi-reservoir, large-scale opportunity.

Williams is also chief operating officer and a director of Jadestone Energy and a director of Buru Energy.
