Vaultz Capital PLC (AQSE:V3TC) has appointed James Bowater as its new Global Head of Partnerships, bringing in one of the best-known figures from the cryptocurrency sector to help expand its Bitcoin mining and treasury activities.
Bowater, who entered the industry in 2014, has spent more than a decade building a profile across digital assets, blockchain and so-called Web3 technologies.
He is best known for founding Crypto AM with City AM in 2018, the first mainstream newspaper section dedicated to covering blockchain, artificial intelligence and digital assets.
More recently, he launched The Digital Commonwealth, a platform focused on fintech, frontier technologies and tokenised real-world assets.
He also serves as Global Ambassador for World Mobile, Cudos and Minutes Network, has co-founded Jade Investment Ventures, and advises several blockchain start-ups.
His work in the field has been recognised with a Blockchain Advisor of the Year award at the AIBC event in Malta in 2022.
Vaultz said Bowater’s industry experience and network would play a central role in developing strategic partnerships.
Eric Benz, chief executive of Vaultz, said: “James has been a long-standing advocate for Bitcoin.
"His work at City AM played an important role in establishing wider industry awareness, and he brings over a decade of sector knowledge, spanning both journalism and commercial initiatives.
"His expertise will support our strategic development and market positioning as we expand our Bitcoin mining and Treasury operations. We’re delighted to welcome him aboard.”
