Revolution Beauty plans £15mln fundraise as founders return and banking facilities extended

Revolution Beauty Group PLC (AIM:REVB) reported a sharp fall in sales and profit for the year to 28 February 2025, while outlining plans to raise around £15 million of new equity and extend its banking facilities.

Revenue declined 25.5% year-on-year to £142.6 million, with adjusted EBITDA falling to £4.7 million from £12.6 million. The business posted a statutory loss before tax of £16.8 million, compared with a profit of £11.4 million in the prior year. Gross margin slipped to 38.2%, reflecting clearance of non-core inventory.

The company said it had contained net debt at £26.2 million, while cash balances stood at £5.7 million. Banking facilities have been conditionally extended to July 2028, dependent on the successful completion of the proposed fundraising.

As part of the restructuring, co-founder Tom Allsworth is set to return as chief executive, supported by fellow co-founder Adam Minto in a consultancy role. A re-balanced business plan aims to restore growth, with a targeted adjusted EBITDA run-rate of £8–10 million by the end of FY26.

Iain McDonald, chairman, said: "Revolution Beauty is a great brand, but the business has lost its way. We are confident that with a return to the founder-led management team who originally scaled the brand, there is a clear path back to growth and long-term value creation."

Revolution Beauty describes itself as a multi-channel mass beauty innovator.
