West Coast Silver confirms high-grade silver and gold at Elizabeth Hill

West Coast Silver Limited (ASX: WCE) has reported further high-grade silver and gold intercepts from its inaugural diamond drill program at the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project in the Pilbara, with assays highlighting strong near-surface mineralisation.

Key results include 13 metres at 1,615 grams per tonne (g/t) silver (Ag) in hole 25WCDD011, featuring a standout interval of 2 metres at 10,049 g/t Ag, and 1 metre at 11.1 g/t gold (Au). Hole 25WCDD012 also delivered significant near-surface silver hits.

Executive chairman Bruce Garlick said: “We are extremely pleased with the delivery of more outstanding results from our maiden drill program at Elizabeth Hill. We have intersected more high-grade silver from surface and with grades up to 10,049 g/t we are now very confident in the near-surface potential at Elizabeth Hill. What is even more encouraging is the intersection of high-grade gold up to 11.1 g/t in hole 25CWDD011.”

25WCDD011 highlights:

  • 17 metres at 858 g/t Ag from 5 metres, including 2 metres at 6,349 g/t Ag
  • 10 metres at 850 g/t Ag from 47 metres, including 3 metres at 2,593 g/t Ag
  • 13 metres at 1,615 g/t Ag from 62 metres, including 2 metres at 10,049 g/t Ag
  • 1 metre at 11.1 g/t Au from 51 metres, plus other lower-grade gold zones.

Native silver identified in core, supporting potential gravity separation processing.

25WCDD012 highlights:

  • 6 metres at 317 g/t Ag from 10 metres, including 1 metre at 1,455 g/t Ag
  • 14 metres at 162 g/t Ag from 18 metres, including 2 metres at 882 g/t Ag

Exploration outlook

Results have now been received for six of the twelve holes drilled, with assays for a further six holes expected in four to six weeks. The program continues to confirm high-grade mineralisation from surface and will contribute to defining a near-surface resource.

Elizabeth Hill, previously mined until 2000, produced 1.2 million ounces of silver from 16,830 tonnes of ore at an average grade of 2,194 g/t. With the project remaining open at depth and consolidated into a 180 square kilometre landholding over the Munni Munni fault system, West Coast Silver sees significant potential for resource growth.

The project is located 25 kilometres south of the Radio Hill processing facility, providing optionality for future development.
