The Real Good Food Company appoints MD at Rainbow Dust subsidiary

David Grieve has been appointed as managing director of Rainbow Dust Colours, the cake decoration business Real Good Food bought earlier this year.

Bakery industry veteran David Grieve has been appointed managing director of Rainbow Dust Colours, the cake decoration business owned by Real Good Food (LON:RGD).

Real Good Food acquired Rainbow Dust Colours, a specialist supplier of cake decorating products to the sugar craft industry, including coloured edible glitters, dusts, sprinkles and food paints, from its founders, Gary Brown and Carol Brown, in January of this year.

Grieve, a marketing specialist at another Real Good Food subsidiary, Renshaw, will work with Rainbow Dust’s founders, who will remain with the company until next year, working on developing a business plan that builds on the success of the past few years.

The new managing director has been involved in the sugar craft, bakery and cake decoration markets for more than 25 years. He was a marketing manager at BFP Wholesale and has held a number of sales and marketing roles within Renshaw, most recently as head of its sugar craft sales channel, and brings detailed knowledge of Rainbow Dust Colours' customer base.

Real Good Food’s chairman, Pieter Totté, said the company was lucky to have someone with Grieve’s experience and sector knowledge in the business.

“I am sure he can use this to drive forward the Rainbow Dust Colours business,” Totté said.
