US Gold adopts Glencore flotation technology to boost CK Gold Project recovery

US Gold Corp (NASDAQ:USAU) said on Thursday it will adopt Glencore Technology’s Jameson Cell flotation equipment at its CK Gold Project in Wyoming, a move it expects will enhance gold and copper recovery and improve project economics.

The decision follows a series of engineering and trade-off studies as part of the company’s definitive feasibility study and execution plan.

US Gold said tests on CK Gold ore confirmed higher gold and copper recovery compared with results from its February 2025 prefeasibility study.

A trade-off analysis by Halyard Micon International estimated that using Jameson Cells could increase the project’s net present value by about $36 million over the mine’s life versus conventional flotation methods.

“Through rigorous trade-off studies and testing, we have confirmed that this technology offers improvements over conventional flotation cells, including increased metal recovery, reduced power consumption, and a smaller equipment and warehousing footprint,” CEO George Bee said in a statement.

“This strategic decision further enhances the already robust economics of the project, positioning us for success in the domestic production of strategic metals.”

Glencore Technology, which has supplied Jameson Cells to the mining industry since 1986, provided a limited performance guarantee and will support ongoing engineering and cost parameters, US Gold said.

The miner has also secured a commitment from Glencore to hold pricing for unused Jameson Cells, originally procured for a cancelled project, through October 2025.

Shares of US Gold jumped 4.6% on Thursday afternoon to trade at $11.40.
