Markets in a Minute: ASX 200 hits 100-day high as industrials lead gains

The ASX 200 was up today, it shot up 1.13% and has set a new 100-day high.

Today's standout sector was industrials, nudging up more than 3 per cent, followed by consumer stapes, at around 2 per cent.

IN THE GREEN

Brambles (ASX:BXB) shot up after delivering stronger-than-expected full year results — and is now guiding to further profit growth into FY26.

Tryptamine Therapeutics (ASX:TYP) also jumped after taking a major step forward in precision psychiatry — teaming up with two of the world’s leading psychedelic researchers to develop cutting-edge brainwave technology for its lead program.

RED

James Hardie (ASX:JHX) plunged today — extending yesterday’s sharp sell-off after weak quarterly results and a subdued outlook. The decline follows fresh broker downgrades and renewed questions over disclosure.

Goodman Group (ASX:GMG) also had a rough run despite posting strong full year growth — with investors reacting to earnings guidance that came in just shy of market expectations.
