Delta and United face lawsuits over window seats

Delta Air Lines Inc (NYSE:DAL) and United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:UAL, ETR:UAL1) are facing lawsuits from passengers who say they paid extra for window seats but ended up next to blank walls.

The cases, filed by law firm Greenbaum Olbrantz, seek millions of dollars in damages and refunds for more than a million customers of each airline.

The complaints argue that the carriers failed to disclose that certain Boeing and Airbus planes have windowless seats due to cabin design, yet still labelled them as window seats and charged a premium.

Rival airlines such as American and Alaska flag windowless seats at booking.
