The Smarter Web Company (AQSE:SWC) has appointed Jesse Myers as its first head of Bitcoin strategy, promoting him to a full-time role after serving as a consultant for two months.
The London-listed technology group said Myers had “become a key part of the team” and would now focus exclusively on the company’s bitcoin treasury plans.
Myers is known for his research on bitcoin’s potential value and is the author of “Once-in-a-Species” and “Bitcoin’s Full Potential Valuation”, a paper cited by MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor in his investment model.
He previously co-founded custody business Onramp Bitcoin, ran hedge fund Protocol Capital, and worked at Bain & Company before completing an MBA at Stanford.
The company, listed on Aquis in London and trading on OTC and Frankfurt markets, said Myers had already added value to its Bitcoin strategy since his appointment in June.
