Shares in OptiBiotix Health PLC (AIM:OPTI, OTC:OPBXF) rose as much as 9% on Wednesday after the company signed a distribution agreement with a major direct-selling weight management brand.
The AIM-listed life sciences group said it would supply SlimBiome products, designed to reduce hunger and food cravings, under the partner’s branding.
It will also provide a WellBiome product to be included in the distributor’s range. The launch will begin in the distributor’s largest market, with further European rollouts planned if successful.
The products will be sold both online and through a network of consultants. OptiBiotix said it expects an initial order within three months, with a full market launch anticipated in the first half of 2026.
The company said the deal underscored growing demand for functional ingredients that complement the surge in interest around anti-obesity medicines.
OptiBiotix added that the agreement could help established brands incorporate science-backed products into their portfolios.
After an initial early burst that took the stock to 13.5p, the price settled to 13p, up 0.38p.
