Leading the gains were HMC Capital Limited and Centuria Capital Group, advancing 17.74% and 11.63% respectively. Across the past five sessions, the benchmark has added 1.03% and now sits just 0.50% below its 52-week high.
Meanwhile, the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index fell 24.80 points, or 0.71%, to 3,465.00, leaving it down 0.11% over five days.
