Zynex Inc (NASDAQ:ZYXI), a medical technology company specializing in non-invasive devices for pain management, rehabilitation, and patient monitoring, announced the arrival of Steven Dyson as its new CEO, along with the appointment of several senior leaders.
The company announced back in June that Dyson had been selected as incoming CEO. Since that announcement, he and board chairman Thomas Sandgaard have worked with directors to complete appointments in key leadership positions.
Vikram Bajaj has been named CFO. He brings more than two decades of experience in finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategy in the medical technology sector.
Bajaj previously served as CFO of Vyaire Medical and Kepro, and earlier led corporate development at Kinetic Concepts. He began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and is a Chartered Accountant.
John T Bibb joins as Chief Legal Officer. The company highlighted that he has more than 20 years of experience in legal, compliance, and human resources leadership roles, including positions at KCI, LifeCell, and Vyaire Medical.
In his new role, Bibb will oversee Zynex’s legal, HR, compliance, and communications functions.
Ajay Gopal has been appointed Executive Vice President of Sales. He previously held commercial leadership positions at KCI, Danaher, and Healthium Medtech. Zynex said he has a record of delivering growth and expanding access to medical technologies.
Agnes Powell has joined as Vice President of Billing. She has 20 years of experience in revenue cycle operations, compliance, and managed care contracting.
Powell’s background includes leadership roles with HealthOne, Centura Health, and Toxicology Associates.
"The Board is delighted to welcome Steven Dyson as CEO, together with his new executive team to Zynex,” Sandgaard said. “We are confident that this group of experienced, proven leaders will take Zynex to new levels of success.”
Dyson expressed excitement over creating a new future for Zynex shareholders. "We have a lot to do to improve business performance at the company over the coming quarters,” he said.
“I believe we now have the right team in place to deliver excellent results in the future, while renewing our commitment to the highest integrity in our business practices and fulfilling our mission to improve the quality of life for patients suffering from debilitating pain and illness."
Zynex shares added almost 6% in Monday morning trading at US$1.61.
