Just the Facts: Yandal extends strike length at Arrakis to 2.2 kilometres with strong gold results

Yandal Resources has extended the strike length of its Arrakis mineralised structure at the Caladan target in Western Australia’s Yandal Greenstone Belt to more than 2.2 kilometres.

Fresh air-core drilling results have confirmed the scale of the emerging gold system, with the latest batch of assays returning highlights such as 22 metres at 0.5 grams per tonne of gold from 75 metres, including a higher-grade zone of 7 metres at 1.2 grams per tonne.

Yandal has drilled 136 holes, with results now back for 122 of them and the remainder expected in the coming weeks.

Yandal Resources’ managing director, Chris Oorschot said: "To receive results of this tenure across such an extensive strike length within the first pass, broad-spaced air-core drilling is rare and indicative of a potentially significant mineralised system".

The company plans to begin RC drilling shortly, followed by further RC and air-core work after heritage surveys later this quarter.
