Asiamet begins limestone drilling at BKM project

Asiamet Resources Ltd (AIM:ARS, OTC:KMGLF) has commenced limestone resource drilling at the Rinjen prospect, located about 12 kilometres north of its BKM copper project in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.

The initiative aims to source local limestone for the project’s processing plant, reducing reliance on more expensive imported lime.

The first phase involves 600 to 700 metres of drilling. The company’s KSK operations team is managing the programme, and a second location is being assessed for a potential expansion of the limestone resource.

It is a key step in delivering a low-cost operation, chief executive Darryn McClelland highlighted.

Asiamet shares moved higher in Friday morning's trade, rising 6.5% to 1.04p - in 2025 to date, the share price is up some 25%.
