Alkane Resources (ASX:ALK) is building momentum at its El Paso prospect in Central West New South Wales, reporting more high-grade gold intersections that could increase resources and extend mine life at the Tomingley Gold Operations.
Recent diamond drilling into a prospective dacite unit — the same rock type hosting high-grade zones at the San Antonio deposit — returned impressive results, including 8.2 metres at 3.74 grams per tonne gold with a peak grade of 25 grams, and 32.1 metres at 1.65 grams with several rich intervals.
Additional drilling along the 5-kilometre Tomingley Structure confirmed gold-bearing mineralisation, while a 17,000-metre air-core program has identified new anomalies southeast of El Paso and at Westray.
Over the next 12 months, Alkane plans further drilling, mapping, and drone surveys across priority targets, while underground drilling at McLeans and Roswell continues — with results due in October.
