First Tin PLC (LSE:1SN, XETRA:1SN) has agreed with Glen Innes Severn Council to locate its mine camp for the Taronga tin project on council-owned land next to Glen Innes Airport in New South Wales, Australia. The agreement was ratified at the council’s July meeting.
The proposed camp will comprise about 50 accommodation units and supporting facilities. The site was selected for its strategic location on the road linking Glen Innes and Emmaville, avoiding project traffic through Glen Innes, and for having existing water, power and sewerage connections.
"The selected site on GISC owned land is an ideal location for our proposed mine camp and will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our Taronga tin project. We are very happy to have reached a mutually beneficial agreement with GISC and look forward to working closely with them in the future," First Tin chief executive Bill Scotting said.
