Cornish Metals Inc (AIM:CUSN, TSX-V:CUSN, OTC:SBWFF) told investors it is continuing to see progress at the South Crofty tin project, where dewatering and shaft refurbishment work remains on track.
The company said the work had reached the mid-shaft pump station at around 360 metres depth in the New Cook’s Kitchen shaft. The underground chamber at this level has been stabilised and installation of new permanent pumps has begun.
Refurbishment and dewatering will continue in parallel down to the current level of the submersible pumps at approximately 380 metres.
Work at the mid-shaft pump station is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. After this, the submersible pumps will be lowered to around 730 metres and work will resume.
Cornish Metals is still targeting mid-2026 for shaft refurbishment and dewatering down to this lower pump station level, at 730 metres.
