Blockmate Ventures Inc (TSX-V:MATE, OTCQB:MATEF) announced that its investee Hivello has integrated the Theta Network into its platform, aiming to enhance passive income opportunities for users.
Theta Network becomes the 11th Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) connected to Hivello’s system, the company said on Tuesday.
The integration allows users to contribute idle computing resources, such as GPU and CPU capacity, to the Theta Network in exchange for token rewards.
Theta Network provides decentralized video streaming technology that reduces reliance on centralized servers by using a network of participants who share excess bandwidth and computing power.
According to Hivello, the addition of Theta Network aligns with its objective of expanding earning potential for its user base and simplifying participation in multiple DePIN ecosystems.
“Integrating Theta Network strengthens the Hivello platform and boosts the value of user participation,” Blockmate Ventures CEO Justin Rosenberg said.
“Off the back of Hivello’s first buy-back and burn last month, this partnership is a great signal towards expanding the Hivello user base and enhancing the sustainability of the ecosystem as networks like Theta seek more computing power to process video streaming and AI content.”
Domenic Carosa, Hivello chairman, described the Theta Network integration as an exciting step forward in its aim to built the most comprehensive DePIN aggregator.
“This partnership not only provides our users with new, high-demand earning opportunities but also reinforces our commitment to supporting the growth and stability of key players in the decentralized space,” Carosa said. “We're proud to welcome Theta as our 11th network.”
