New Era Helium Inc (NASDAQ:NEHC) announced it has changed its name to New Era Energy & Digital to reflect a strategic shift toward supplying power and infrastructure for next-generation AI data centers.
The company said the rebrand follows its transformation into a vertically integrated energy supplier focused on digital infrastructure and integrated power assets, including powered land and powered shells.
The company aims to provide turnkey solutions for hyperscale, enterprise, and edge operators to accelerate data center deployment, reduce total cost of ownership, and prepare for future infrastructure needs.
It projects that demand for AI infrastructure will expand significantly over the next decade due to increasing capacity requirements and higher sector investment.
E Will Gray II, New Era CEO, said that the new change marked a new chapter for the company.
“With a growing base of vertically integrated assets, from powered land to powered shells, we bring deep infrastructure and energy expertise to help hyperscale, enterprise, and edge operators deploy future-ready HPC campuses faster,” Gray said.
“Our new name: New Era Energy & Digital, perfectly captures the full breadth of our expanded strategic vision: delivering the physical foundation that powers American innovation.”
New Era Energy & Digital will begin trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “NUAI” on August 13.
The company’s leadership team remains unchanged and continues to advance the Texas Critical Data Centers (TCDC) project. The TCDC campus, under development in Ector County, Texas, is planned as a scalable facility of up to 1 gigawatt for AI and high-performance computing, offering liquid-cooled, high-efficiency infrastructure designed for speed, resilience, and sustainability.
The company said it is also in discussions on how to maximize its natural gas and helium assets.
Shares of New Era rose on the update, gaining 11.7% in early Tuesday trading at $0.43.
