UK arm of Claire's Accessories may struggle to land 'solvent bid' after US parent enters Chapter 11

Claire’s Accessories is at a crossroads in the UK as its American parent company files for bankruptcy protection for the second time in just over six years.

The US-based retailer, known for its fashion accessories and jewellery, has been forced to seek court protection in Delaware following fresh pressure from weak demand and ongoing supply chain issues.

In the UK, the company is reportedly working with advisers to explore options, including a potential sale or restructuring, raising questions about possible store closures.

According to Sky News, they are not expected to land a "solvent bid" for its UK chain.
