Linda Yaccarino, former CEO of Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter), has been appointed chief executive of eMed, a Miami-based telehealth company focused on weight loss treatments.
eMed, originally launched in 2020 as a provider of Covid tests, now dispenses GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic and Wegovy.
It described Yaccarino’s arrival as a pivotal moment, citing her experience in media and advertising from previous roles at NBCUniversal and Turner.
In a statement, Yaccarino said technology offers a new way to deliver chronic care directly to consumers.
Her move follows a turbulent tenure at X, where she was tasked with reviving ad revenue but faced repeated controversies over platform content and brand boycotts.
