Two of the UK’s leading independent accountancy and advisory firms have agreed to merge, creating a national firm with more than 1,000 staff and annual fee income of £110 million.
The pairing of Menzies LLP and Beever and Struthers will significantly expand both firms’ regional presence, with a combined network of offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, and the South East.
The deal will see Menzies’ broad-based advisory and accountancy services combined with Beever and Struthers’ specialist expertise in the not-for-profit, education and social housing sectors, where it is widely regarded as a market leader.
Leaders from both firms emphasised their commitment to partner-led service and investing in their people, positioning the new group as a trusted adviser to clients across both public and private sectors.
Unlike recent industry deals driven by private equity, the firms say their merger is founded on shared values, independence and a focus on delivering long-term value for clients and staff.
