Valereum fundraising and London BTC share sale underpin expansion plans

Valereum PLC (AQSE:VLRM) has raised £400,000 through a new share subscription, with chairman James Bannon and chief executive Gary Cottle each investing £200,000.

Both directors subscribed for 6.45 million shares at 3.1 pence each. The fundraising follows the partial sale of Valereum’s holding in London BTC Company Limited announced last week.

The proceeds will be used to expand operations within VLRM Markets, increase capacity for onboarding new tokenised issuers, and advance technology development.

This includes enhancing the company’s proprietary Digital Financial Market Infrastructure platform and integrating systems with Fideum, BluBird and DigiShares.

Valereum also intends to use the funds to pursue new regulatory approvals in additional jurisdictions, supporting its aim to enable cross-border tokenisation.

The investment will further commercial and ecosystem growth, covering crypto advisory services, Bitcoin initiatives, the GATE Token, and other new opportunities.

Valereum said the subscriptions underline the confidence of senior management in its strategy and ongoing development.
