Solis Minerals (ASX: SLM) has received all permits to begin drilling at its Ilo Este copper-gold project in southern Peru — with work now set to start this month.
The company is planning around 5,000 metres of diamond drilling across 10 holes, targeting high-priority zones identified through geochemical data, geophysics, and past drilling.
Previous drilling intersected sulphide mineralisation, and new geophysical surveys have outlined a large high-chargeability anomaly, suggesting the presence of a significant copper-gold system at depth.
Solis' CEO Mitch Thomas said: "The extent of at-surface geochemistry, strong geophysical targets and peripheral historical drilling with geologically significant copper-gold results at Ilo Este creates a particularly attractive project".
Investors can expect further updates through the second half of 2025 as drilling and assay results start rolling in.
