Royalty Management building a US rare earth supply chain – ICYMI

Royalty Management Holding Corp (NASDAQ:RMCO) CEO Thomas Sauve talked with Proactive about the company’s approach to diversified royalty interests and recent developments with its portfolio company TR Mining.

Sauve explained that Royalty Management Holding Corp, listed on Nasdaq, is not restricted to specific metal groups like gold or silver, but evaluates a variety of projects, especially in the resources space. “We like resources a lot, but that doesn't necessarily mean we don't invest in other projects,” Sauve said, highlighting an investment in a company producing potable water for industrial use.

A key focus of the discussion was TR Mining, a Jamaican company in which Royalty Management has a 10% royalty interest. Initial assessments identified high concentrations of vanadium, titanium, and iron ore. More recent testing, in partnership with the Jamaican government, revealed the presence of valuable rare earth elements, which are crucial to defense and aerospace sectors.

Sauve detailed the next steps, noting that a special permitting license covering 25 square miles along Jamaica’s coastline is in place. The company plans to begin the permitting process this year, with production expected to start in 2025.

He also revealed that Royalty Management is working to build a domestic rare earth supply chain in the US, a structure currently lacking in the country.

As for growth, Sauve confirmed the company remains open to new opportunities: “We’re always looking for good ideas… we look at a variety of resources and assets.”
