First Development Resources (AIM:FDR) has hired a contractor for its upcoming drill programme at the Wallal project, in the Paterson province of Western Australia.
It has appointed DDH1 Drilling for the Phase I diamond core drilling programme, which will see holes sunk to depths of up to 3,000 metres
The company, in a statement, noted that DDH1 has experience in the Paterson region, including work on the Havieron project.
Chief executive Tristan Pottas noted that company representatives will be on site at Wallal next week to assess what preparations are required ahead of rig mobilisation.
“DDH1 has remained committed to partnering with FDR and following the company's admission to AIM earlier this week we are pleased to formalise our relationship as we move towards commencing drilling operations at the earliest convenience,” Pottas said.
He added: “We look forward to providing further updates in the very near future."
