ASOS PLC (LSE:ASC) shares were softer on Thursday as it announced a boardroom shuffle, naming Natasja Laheij as the inbound new chair, and creating a new deputy chair role.
Jørgen Lindemann, the e-tailer's current chair, will step down from the board later this year, at the end of his current term upon the release of the 2025 year-end results (in either late October or early November).
"I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Jørgen, whose support has been invaluable to ASOS throughout his tenure on the Board,” said ASOS chief executive José Antonio Ramos Calamonte.
“I look forward to working closely with Natasja, given her extensive governance experience, and with William, given his knowledge of ASOS and operational expertise as we continue to execute our strategy."
Natasja Laheij previously joined the board in April 2023 and has since served as senior non-executive director
Camelot Capital Partners founder William Barker, who has been a non-executive director since joining the board in September 2023, will take up the deputy-chair position.
ASOS noted that Barker has waived his board fees (meanwhile, Camelot owns around 15.8% of ASOS shares).
